CANAC’s 27th Annual Conference, Tradition and Innovation: Informing Today’s HIV Care, is set for April 25-27, 2019 in London, Ontario.

Thinking about ways you can be more involved with the organization? We have a number of positions up for election on our Board this year. As we move through a period of reorganization, we are looking for enthusiastic and committed members who would like to participate in helping to shape and move CANAC forward.

There are six positions available. Please have a look at the information provided for description of all roles. Being a Board member involves 2 face to face meetings per year, one at the annual conference, teleconferences, usually once a month, as necessary and email communication. Board positions are open to Nurse members. Board terms begin on November 1^st.

The Canadian Association of Nurses in HIV/AIDS Care (CANAC), in partnership with the CNA and the Harm Reduction Nurses Association (HRNA) are pleased to release a joint position statement on Harm Reduction and Substance Use.

Harm reduction is an essential approach to reduce the adverse health, social and economic consequences of substance use without requiring abstinence.
